Delta Sigma Phi is very involved with the community at both a national and local level. Every year, our chapter orgainizes several philanthropic events to sponsor a charitable organization. In the past, we have sponsored such organizations as the American Cancer Society, The Red Cross, and the Ducks Unlimited Wildlife Conservation Fund. Last year we sponsored the March of Dimes and our very own Capital Fundraising Committee. This year, we are co-hosting the Jimmy V. Volleyball Tournament with Pi Kappa Alpha, generating proceeds for The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
The Capital Fundraising Committee is a non-profit committee established through our chapter to raise funds for the repair, maintenance and renovation of one of Raleigh's historial landmarks, the former Carolina Pines Hotel. Delta Sigma Phi currently owns this estate and the property surrounding it. With the dedication and contribution of our brotherhood, alumni and generous donors, the Capital Fundraising Committee can achieve its goals in order to better serve our fraternity and the community.
To donate to either of these organizations please visit the Donate page located on our website. We also accept donations via telephone and direct mail.
